Marigold Card - October Birth Flower

£2.50

October’s Birth Flower is the Marigold. This bright and sunshine filled flower has been used for centuries across may cultures in the world. For some, such as in Latin America they are prominent in the Day of the Dead celebrations, where they are used to attract the souls of the dead to the family alters. In India the giving of the Marigold represents friendship, while in Hinduism the flowers are associated with the Sun and Wedding celebrations.

In more modern times the Marigold has come to represent prosperity, cheer, joy and success, which are wonderful sentiments for your October person.

A6 Greeting Card of an original watercolour painting. This is painted and printed on Recycled Paper in my studio in West Yorkshire.
