Welcoming May

With sunshine and rain, we’ve welcomed May. My Hawthorn tree is looking like a glowing bride with its branches full of white blossom, and everything the garden is growing. I’ve been happy to discover that my Lily of the Valley has spread this year which is perfect since it is the flower for May. Meaning happiness and luck, it has long been used in wedding bouquet’s with roses, so it is definitely the flower to start wedding season.

Hi there and welcome to Kathleen Crossley Art.

I’m Kathleen, a Watercolour and Illustration artist based in the heart of west Yorkshire and my passion is all thing nature and botanical.  I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and I have always gained my biggest inspiration from flowers growing in my garden, rugged landscapes and trees looking moody on a rainy, dull day.  Each one can evoke a difference emotion and they also hold certain meanings which I have really enjoyed looking into, and then trying to capture them in the artwork I’ve been doing.

I have a wonderful array of cards, prints, original paintings as well as decorations available in my shop, as well as a portfolio for you to look through so you can see how my inspirations develop, change and merge.

As always, if you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to get in contact, either via the Contact page, or on Instagram and Facebook, both of which have updates of my current work and my life as an artist.

I hope enjoy my little world here.
